The Metaphorum

Measuring Truth

People might wonder, when they see my - or any other photographer’s - photographs : what goes on outside the frame? What is there? Who is there? Hence they are encouraged to create their own opinions on that matter; their own universe, just by watching the picture inside the frame.

I walked my way through Google Maps today and picked up a couple of locations where I photographed architecture in Paris last year.

Particularly this screenshot surprised me; from the photo I took, I could never have remembered what the neighborhood looked like. This only supports that the camera, in my opinion, does neither represent reality nor measure truth.

And that’s just one of the beauties of photography!

On December 21st 2012 I photographed ten local artists performing Bob Dylan songs at Sjøboden’s Live Scene in Mandal. There has been a delay due to Christmas, but these photos are now being processed in my digital darkroom and soon to be revealed.
In this first photo we see Kaja Haven during her remarkable interpretation of Lay, Lady, Lay.

STÅ OPP MOT URETT - Amnesty

(Summary in English below)

The Violent Years, Pappasaft, Kathrine Gundersen m.fl. er også å oppleve 18. september.
